Job Description Turner & Townsend Heery is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee Federal construction projects with GSA. The successful candidate will have experience monitoring construction projects for Federal clients, with direct accountability for project delivery. 100% On-Site Assignment Responsibilities: On-Site assignment to monitor the progress of construction. Review status of work completed during the period covered. Review that work is generally proceeding in a good and workmanlike manner and in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications. Review contractors' payment requisitions and budget status. Review of subcontracts, bonds/subcontractor default insurance, change orders, and developer's monthly reports. Prepare project status reports and recommend the release of construction funds. Review contract drawings and specifications for completeness and compliance with best practices. Analyze the developers cost budget and coordinate with the Cost Advisory group. Review and comment on construction agreements, subcontracts, and qualification statements. Generate and review major milestones, design packages, submittals, reports, logs, etc., including value engineering, constructability reviews, and code compliance. Prepare Construction Risk Assessment Reports. Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications 12+ years of experience in federal/public funded construction, preferably with projects exceeding $100 million. Must possess a PE, CCM, or Registered Architect license. Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills. In-depth financial knowledge, budget forecasting, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, MS Project, and familiarity with construction practices and codes. Knowledge of entitlement/permitting processes and construction delivery methods. Passion for detail orientation and organization.
Education and Experience 15+ years of project and construction management experience, including significant GSA or Federal projects of $100 million+. Bachelors degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 8+ years of related construction administration experience. Licensure as PE, Registered Architect, or CCM preferred. Experience with JMAR, DB, and E-builder systems.
Additional Information The salary range is $130k-$170k per year, based on experience and qualifications.
