We are seeking a experienced Staff Accountant with prior work history maintaining accurate monthly financial statements and reporting.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepare and review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations for various asset and liability accounts Prepare assigned journal entries during month-end close Create jobs in the accounting system for various properties Review processing of Accounts Payable which includes but not limited to approvals, lien waivers, commitment, cash disbursements etc. Responsible for researching complex accounting transactions Work with internal and external auditors to ensure timely completion of the audit Prepare ad hoc reports, as needed Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience and Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related area 3+ years Construction/Homebuilding experience required Knowledge of US GAAP Must be able to work in a fast pace environment with a strong sense of urgency Analytical and problem solving skills Excellent oral and written communication skills Advance PC skills, including the use of Excel and Access Ability to communicate and interact with various levels of staff Strong work ethic able to work independently as well as be a team player
