We're seeking an experienced Steel Detailer to join our team at Henard Metal Fabricators. This role combines your residential and commercial construction knowledge with steel detailing expertise to create precise fabrication drawings and models. You'll work on diverse projects ranging from residential steel structures to large commercial buildings, utilizing your Advance Steel experience while transitioning to Tekla software (training provided). The ideal candidate understands both field construction realities and technical detailing requirements.

Requirements 1+ years of residential or commercial construction experience

1+ years of steel detailing experience (preferred)

Strong understanding of steel connections, welding symbols, and fabrication processes

Experience reading architectural and structural drawings

Knowledge of building codes and construction standards

Familiarity with steel framing systems in residential and commercial applications

Experience with material takeoffs and bill of materials creation
