Construction Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Vice President of Construction Operations to oversee field operations, safety, and purchasing. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading operational organizations, supervising department heads, and ensuring a strong safety culture. This role requires a proven track record in managing operations teams across various trades, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and process piping. The Vice President will also be tasked with operational oversight, improving delivery, and driving productivity, as well as having a deep understanding of business financials to align operations with financial goals. Applicants must have at least 15 years' of experience in a similar role, with a background in HVAC, purchasing, safety, and field operations. The position demands excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills, as well as the ability to build and develop teams. A strong focus on safety and compliance, experience with Lean Construction principles, and the ability to manage changing priorities are essential. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred) and be adept at problem-solving, strategic thinking, and communication, with the ability to interact at all levels and build relationships with vendors, clients, and cross-functional teams.
