We are partnering with one of the largest fibre infrastructure manufacturers in the world, a company that has been deeply embedded in the hyperscale data centre ecosystem for many years.

Originally known for supplying critical fibre and connectivity materials into hyperscale environments, the organisation has expanded significantly into the design, construction and full fit-out of data centre infrastructure. With the rapid advancement of AI and high-performance computing, demand for hyperscale campuses across the United States is accelerating at an unprecedented pace.

Our client already has multiple large projects underway and a significant pipeline of additional builds. They are now looking to appoint a senior leader who can help scale their construction division into what is expected to become a billion-dollar business over the next several years.

This role will focus on growing and structuring the organisation’s hyperscale construction capability as they deliver large-scale campus environments for some of the world’s leading cloud and technology companies.

The opportunity is suited to someone who has built and scaled infrastructure teams before, not simply inherited and managed them.

Key Responsibilities

• Leading the expansion of the organisation’s data centre construction business
• Scaling operations from hundreds of millions in revenue towards a billion-dollar platform
• Building and structuring high-performing infrastructure and delivery teams
• Overseeing hyperscale campus builds involving multiple buildings and large acreage developments
• Managing relationships with general contractors, electrical contractors and key project partners
• Supporting the delivery of full electrical, low voltage and fibre infrastructure environments
• Ensuring projects are delivered within extremely tight hyperscale timelines and 24/7 construction schedules
• Working closely with finance leadership on budgeting, profitability and long-term growth planning

The projects involved are vast hyperscale campuses often spanning hundreds of acres, requiring deep familiarity with complex, fast-paced construction environments.

Candidates should bring experience from data centre construction or mission-critical infrastructure environments and understand the unique demands of hyperscale builds.

Key Experience Required

• Senior leadership experience within data centre construction or mission-critical infrastructure
• A track record of building and scaling infrastructure delivery teams
• Experience working with hyperscale or large-scale data centre campus developments
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, fibre infrastructure, data cabling and rack environments
• Proven ability to work with general contractors and electrical contractors on major builds
• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-volume project pipelines

  Location is flexible within the United States. Travel will be required to support client engagement and project delivery.

  Compensation is highly competitive and will be structured around a base salary and performance incentives. Current market benchmarks for similar roles are typically in the region of $250,000 – $300,000 base with total compensation approaching $500,000+ depending on structure.

  The interview process will consist of several stages with senior leadership and is expected to take approximately three to four weeks.
