Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Construction & Engineering to spearhead the planning, design, and construction of innovative fiber optic networks. This role is critical for expanding our services in both new and existing markets as well as upgrading our HFC and copper networks. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the CTO and other senior executives to set infrastructure objectives and drive strategic initiatives across our construction and engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the construction and engineering departments, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and adhere to industry standards.
Oversee large-scale fiber deployment initiatives and upgrades to existing infrastructure.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the teams.
Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Stay informed on industry trends and advancements to drive strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 15 years of experience in the telecommunications sector, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role focused on outside plant construction and engineering.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
Strong knowledge of telecommunications construction standards and outside plant engineering principles.
Proven expertise in multi-million-dollar project management and fiber deployment.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills, paired with strong financial acumen.
