Direct message the job poster from Colvin Resources Group Senior Recruiter/Consultant at Colvin Resources Group VP of Construction and Development - Mid Atlantic/Coastal Carolinas Region Our client, a leading marina operator and one of the fastest-growing companies in the marine industry, is seeking an experienced VP of Construction and Development to oversee capital projects across the Mid Atlantic and Coastal Carolinas region. This executive-level position offers the opportunity to lead large-scale construction and development initiatives for a company that owns and operates premium marina facilities throughout North America. The successful candidate will drive strategic capital projects while building strong relationships with regional operations teams and key stakeholders. What You'll Do: Lead Regional Development : Coordinate and manage all aspects of construction and development projects across the Mid Atlantic and Coastal Carolinas, ensuring deliverables meet scope, quality, timeline, and budget requirements Strategic Project Management : Collaborate with regional leadership, engineers, and architects to determine project specifications and oversee the complete lifecycle from design through construction completion Contract Negotiation : Secure profitable agreements with external vendors, contractors, and service providers while obtaining necessary permits and licenses Team Leadership : Supervise onsite management teams across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring adherence to design specifications, budgets, and schedules Stakeholder Management : Interface with regional vice presidents, general managers, construction teams, and operations personnel to ensure seamless project execution Technical Oversight : Provide technical guidance on construction methods, equipment selection, and design interpretation while maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards What You Bring: Education : Bachelor's degree in Business, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred Experience : Minimum 15 years in operations and project management within civil or marine construction Leadership Skills : Exceptional business acumen, analytical abilities, and decision-making capabilities with proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Flexibility : Ability to travel 5-7 days monthly to project sites and work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends as needed Technical Proficiency : Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) What Sets You Apart: Demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and develop talent Strong bias toward action with ability to overcome challenges positively and productively Excellent communication skills with ability to establish strong internal and external networks Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth Proven track record of delivering results in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments Why This Opportunity: Join an industry-leading organization with a strong growth trajectory Lead meaningful projects that enhance premium marina experiences Competitive compensation package with base salary up to $175k plus discretionary bonus opportunity Comprehensive benefits package including healthcare, 401(k), and paid time off Professional development opportunities with experienced marine industry professionals This is a direct-hire opportunity with our client.
