This position involves hands-on leadership in maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations, monitoring treatment systems, and performing essential water quality tests.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor water treatment systems, adjusting water flow and maintaining tower and reservoir levels.

Test water samples and ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations.

Maintain and calibrate equipment, including Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Train and guide other operators to ensure a seamless shift transition.

Maintain accurate records of water quality, system performance, and treatment adjustments.

Clean and maintain facilities and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

At least 3 years of relevant experience in water treatment or a related field.

Licenses/Certifications:

Class A Water Operators Certificate (Missouri Department of Natural Resources).

Valid drivers license.

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient in reading gauges, flow meters, and operating mechanical systems.

Strong knowledge of safety standards, water treatment regulations, and SCADA systems.

Skilled in organizing tasks, maintaining records, and communicating effectively.

Ability to operate and maintain hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

Frequent exposure to extreme temperatures, mechanical equipment, loud noise, and airborne particles.

Requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, kneeling, and lifting up to 35 pounds.

Use of safety equipment, such as respirators or self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), may be necessary.

Schedule:

Shift Details: 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM 7:00 AM) on a rotating schedule, including weekends and holidays.
