Accountant- Construction

The Accounts Payable / Accounting Specialist will be responsible for processing invoices, supporting project accounting, and assisting with day-to-day financial operations. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced construction environment and wants to contribute to a dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and code vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Assist with lien waivers, compliance documents, and subcontractor payments
- Prepare weekly check runs and ACH payments
- Support project managers with job cost reporting and budget tracking
- Maintain organized records for audits and internal reporting
- Assist with general accounting tasks, such as data entry, bank reconciliations, and month-end close
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience (construction industry preferred)
- Familiarity with AIA billing, lien waivers, and job cost accounting a plus
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
