PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
In performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees of Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina are expected to conform to the following:
1. Provide administrative support to the program Director and staff.
2. Responsible for all written outgoing and incoming correspondence as related to the Housing Development Department.
3. Collate and distribute mail
4. Prepare communications, such as memos, emails, invoices, reports, and other correspondence
5. Write and edit documents from letters to reports and instructional documents
6. Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical
7. Manage accounts and perform bookkeeping
8. Responsible for monitoring telephone communications.
9. Responsible for ordering all office equipment and supplies for the Housing Development.
10. Responsible for scheduling out-of-area travel for program staff.
11. Responsible for appointments and scheduling of meetings for Program Staff.
12. Organize and maintain security for all program records and reports.
13. Participate in orientation, training, and other personal and professional development as related to assigned responsibilities.
14. Monitor the accuracy of contractor invoices/payables documentation, prepare a draw request for payout to contractors, and route to the Finance Department. Responds to inquiries concerning invoices and payables to the contractors and subcontractors.
15. Assists the New Construction Contractor Compliance Specialist in preparing contracts
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of 2-3 years successful experience in tribal programs, federal programs, community-based programs or outreach working with diverse mentally or physically challenged individuals is required.
Education:
Graduate from a twoyear business and/or office technology program in business management, or an office technology program in business management or office technology
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Qualifications:
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
The ability to relate to diverse populations.
Working relationship with both private and public agencies and programs.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other office software capabilities are required.
Must have a valid NC drivers license and transportation.
Must be willing to work evenings and travel throughout the service area of Robeson, Hoke, Scotland and Cumberland Counties
