Our client is a national, vertically integrated builder/developer of multifamily projects. Their typical project ranges from $100M to $200M. They have a strong presence here in the Mid-Atlantic with projects in DC, MD, & VA. They have a large-scale project coming up in the Charlottesville area and are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join their team.

Job Description

APM - Multifamily Construction - Charlottesvile,VA will be responsible for: Assisting Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and coordinating multifamily new construction projects Supporting procurement activities including ordering materials and tracking deliveries Monitoring project budgets and cost control measures to ensure financial targets are met Communicating with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to facilitate smooth workflow Preparing and reviewing submittals, RFIs, and change orders for accuracy and timeliness Conducting site visits to observe construction progress and identify potential issues Assisting in managing project documentation, including contracts, permits, and compliance records Coordinating with architects, engineers, and inspectors to ensure adherence to design and code requirements Participating in project meetings and recording minutes, action items, and follow-ups Tracking project schedules and milestones, flagging delays and recommending solutions Supporting quality control efforts by reviewing work and reporting deficiencies Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies on the jobsite Facilitating communication between the field and office to maintain project transparency Assisting with closeout activities including punch list management and turnover documentation MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful Applicant

APM - Multifamily Construction - Charlottesvile,VA will have: Minimum 3 years of experience in new building and construction multifamily residential projects Familiarity with construction scheduling, budgeting, and cost tracking processes Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents Experience managing submittals, RFIs, change orders, and project documentation Proficiency with project management software such as Procore, Buildertrend, or similar platforms Strong communication skills for coordinating with subcontractors, architects, and internal teams Ability to perform site visits and effectively identify construction progress and potential issues Knowledge of local building codes, safety regulations, and quality control standards Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not required Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment What's on Offer
