Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our team. This role supports the Construction Superintendent in overseeing daily site operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on construction experience, excellent organizational skills, and a strong ability to coordinate with subcontractors and site personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Construction Superintendent in managing on-site activities to ensure project schedules, safety standards, and quality expectations are met.
Supervise subcontractors, vendors, and laborers to maintain productivity and adherence to project specifications.
Conduct daily site inspections to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and material deliveries.
Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies; enforce OSHA standards and conduct safety meetings.
Coordinate material deliveries and inventory management to prevent delays.
Assist in resolving on-site conflicts and issues in a timely manner.
Communicate regularly with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to provide updates and address concerns.
Assist in punch list completion and final project closeout activities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus).
2+ years of experience in construction, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
