Your Mission: Support the Construction Supervisor in supervising job site activities and ensuring work is progressing according to schedule and plans.
Strictly adhere to all company and industry-specific safety regulations, especially those related to hazardous materials and petroleum handling. Participate in daily safety meetings and hazard assessments.
Help organize and coordinate crews, subcontractors, and material deliveries under the direction of the Foreman. Communicate tasks and priorities to crew members when directed.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of daily work activities, incidents, and progress reports. Help track equipment usage, material deliveries, and inventory.
Observe and learn quality assurance protocols to ensure all work meets engineering and client specifications.Report any defects or inconsistencies to the Foreman immediately.
Perform general construction labor tasks, including excavation, pipefitting, concrete work, and equipment operation (as trained and qualified). Assist in setting up and dismantling job sites.
Learn to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical documents relevant to petroleum infrastructure.
Assist with the proper use, care, and maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring they are stored securely and used safely.
Learn and observe environmental and permitting compliance specific to petroleum site construction.Assist in maintaining site cleanliness and containment procedures.
Attend training programs and certifications as required (e.g., HAZWOPER, OSHA 30, API certifications).
What You Bring to the Table: Hands-on construction or industrial labor experience, preferably in petroleum, oil & gas, or heavy civil environments.
Familiarity with job site safety protocols and participation in toolbox talks or JSAs.
Exposure to petroleum-related projects, such as fuel systems, tanks, or pipelines.
Ability to read basic construction drawings and follow technical instructions.
Experience using and maintaining construction tools and equipment.
Worked effectively as part of a construction crew, taking direction and coordinating with others.
Experience with material handling, site setup, and logistics support.
Completed or participated in industry training like OSHA 10/30, HAZWOPER, or Confined Space Entry.
Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn on the job.
Before You Leap: Some positions require travel and overnight stays. Travel expenses will be covered by Nwestco, LLC All job offers are contingent upon successful completion of the following: Ability to pass pre-employment drug-screening and background check.
Ability to pass pre-employment physical with extensive lifting (up to 75 lb), twisting, pulling, kneeling, and squatting.
A valid driver's license with a clean driving record over the past 5 years required.
