Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a candidate to provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects.

* Qualified candidate should have basic knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, generator design, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities. * Candidate should have basic working knowledge of the NEC and related Codes. * Candidate must have good communication skills, including interaction with senior engineers, clients, and contractors.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Support the lead electrical engineer on multiple concurrent projects for water and wastewater facilities. * Prepare project specifications * Perform conductor sizing, conduit sizing, protective device sizing, lighting, and other electrical calculations * Coordinate with civil, process-mechanical, structural, architectural, HVAC, and instrumentation disciplines * Perform site visits as needed * Perform electrical design work in AutoCAD and/or Revit as required by the project * Perform electrical power system studies in SKM and/or ETAP as required by the project * Review shop drawings and respond to request for information * Support the lead electrical engineer to perform factory witness testing of electrical equipment as required by the project

Minimum Professional Qualification:

* Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering * 3-5 years of relevant experience in heavy industrial Electrical Engineering and Design; Prior experience in water/wastewater industry is desirable * Familiarity with industrial power distribution system * Experience in Microsoft Office products * Experience with SKM or ETAP power system software is desirable * Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit BIM software is desirable * EIT certification is desirable
