Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of complex data center construction projects for a global technology client. This is a full-time onsite role embedded within the client's Data Center Construction team and will play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include: collaborating with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure seamless project execution, supporting the Project Manager in managing project governance, documentation, and stakeholder engagement, assisting in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, tracking project costs, managing change orders, and supporting Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting, liaising with the client's finance team to review and report financial data, monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards, participating in site walks, punch list management, and commissioning activities, maintaining clear communication across all project stakeholders, preparing and contributing to monthly reports, executive dashboards, and project status updates, transcribing meeting minutes, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-up, managing submittals, RFIs, and project observation reports, assisting with procurement of suppliers and resources, and supporting the transition of close-out documentation to operations. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. PMP certification preferred. 3+ years of construction experience, including at least 2 years in project management roles. Experience with data center, mission critical, high-tech, or relatable construction projects is highly desirable. Field experience or field engineer experience is highly beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), Procore, and other construction project management tools. Understanding of data center infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders. Willingness and ability to work onsite full-time.
