Position Overview
The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with senior project managers and cross-functional teams to support the planning, coordination, and execution of industrial real estate projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented and proactive individual looking to grow their career in construction and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Support the preparation of bid packages, contracts, and change orders.
- Conduct site visits and assist in monitoring construction progress and quality.
- Help track project milestones and deliverables.
- Maintain organized project files and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in construction or real estate development (internships or co-ops considered).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Familiarity with construction documents, drawings, and terminology.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Experience supporting industrial or commercial construction projects.
- Knowledge of New Jersey permitting and zoning processes.
- Interest in pursuing PMP or similar certification.
