Allensworth, a busy and growing commercial construction law firm, seeks a full-time entry-level Associate Attorney to join our transactions team in its downtown Austin office.

Summary of Responsibilities The ideal candidate is a recent law school graduate preparing to enter the legal profession with interest in construction law and commercial transactions. Working closely with our transactions partners, the associate attorney will learn how to strategically draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial construction and design agreements. The associate attorney will be trained on industry-standard templates, including AIA, ConsensusDocs, EJCDC, and DBIA form agreements, and will develop an understanding of how specific terms have been interpreted by Texas courts, including insurance coverage, the Economic Loss Rule, indemnity and defense obligations, fee-shifting provisions, and other risk transfer provisions. The ideal candidate should possess a strong work ethic and be comfortable working on multiple projects in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Attention to detail, solid academic credentials, and excellent research, writing, and communication skills are essential for this position.
