Position Summary Join our team as an Automotive Service Technician! In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing tire and automotive services, all while providing an exceptional customer experience. Your ability to explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to both co-workers and customers is crucial. Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose and repair to specifications brake and hydraulic, exhaust, as well as basic electrical, cooling system, suspension and alignment issues, and perform all maintenance services. Fulfill job duties of all lower positions, including Mechanic and General Service Technician. Clearly explain technical diagnoses and necessary repairs to non-mechanical individuals, including employees and customers, as needed. Engage in ongoing training sessions to stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology. Collaborate with fellow technicians/mechanics in the performance of technical activities. Keep store management informed about mechanical repair problems as they arise. Maintain an organized and tidy shop environment. Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety and environmental regulations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities We are looking for individuals who can set a positive pace and contribute to team development. A collaborative and team-oriented mindset is essential for success in this role. To gauge your fit for the position, please review the following requirements: A High School Diploma or GED. At least 1 year of solid automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem-solving, and repair experience. Having 2 or more ASE certifications (A4 Steering and Suspension & A5 Brakes) is PREFERRED. Section 609 certification is PREFERRED. A State Inspection license if applicable. A high level of motivation, energy, and a customer-focused attitude. A valid driver's license. Successful completion of a pre-employment background check. Willingness to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends as required.
