ChurnPilot is an AI-powered predictive analytics platform helping B2B SaaS companies prevent churn, optimize customer success, and grow net revenue retention.
We’re entering a critical growth phase and seeking hands-on engineering leadership to help scale our platform, team, and infrastructure as we go from MVP to market leader.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a seasoned engineering leader to serve as a Board Advisor for Engineering & Technical Strategy. In this advisory role, you’ll work closely with the CEO, COO, and core engineering team to provide guidance on architecture, scaling, infrastructure, security, and team-building.
This is ideal for a former or current VP of Engineering, CTO, or Staff+ engineer with startup and/or enterprise SaaS experience, especially in data platforms, ML infrastructure, or B2B SaaS at scale.
Responsibilities
Advise on backend architecture, infrastructure (AWS/Azure), and security best practices as we scale. Review proposed solutions to ensure long-term scalability, reliability, and maintainability. Help define the values, processes, and frameworks for a high-performing engineering org. Advise on hiring and evaluating engineering talent. Guide the technical roadmap to align with customer needs and ensure efficient integration of machine learning models into production. Evaluate tooling decisions (e.g., Python, React, Postgres, Airflow, Redis, Kafka, etc.) based on growth plans. Advise on DevSecOps, SOC2 readiness, data compliance, and best practices for secure data handling across cloud environments.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of engineering experience, ideally in a leadership capacity at a high-growth B2B SaaS company. Deep experience with cloud-native architecture (AWS or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices. Experience with AI/ML infrastructure or data-heavy platforms is a major plus. Strong interest in early-stage startups; prior advisory or board experience is preferred. Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with founders and early engineering teams.
What You’ll Get
Shape the technical foundation of a fast-moving startup solving a real and valuable problem in SaaS. Participation in the company’s advisor equity program. Collaborate directly with the CEO to influence strategy. Minimal time commitment with high strategic leverage.
