Job Description

The role involves managing all documentation to ensure the project is compliant, remains on schedule, and remains within budget while monitoring all costs. It also includes obtaining, assembling, distributing, and filling all as-built drawings, warranties, certificates of occupancy, and lien releases. Additionally, the role requires scheduling projects in logical steps, budgeting time required to meet deadlines, and building and maintaining relationships critical to the success of the overall project and company. The role also involves tracking and analyzing data to reduce gaps between estimates and actual costs, obtaining and tracking subcontract bids and negotiating budgets, preparing and presenting estimate documentation, and preparing estimates according to the requirements of multiple delivery systems. The role also assists with certain post-bid buyouts and initiates and participates in meet and greet presentations with subcontractors and suppliers.

The Successful Applicant

A 4-year college degree in engineering or construction management is desirable. Five or more years of estimating experience, preferably in the commercial, multifamily or mixed use space. Additional field experience and project engineering is desirable. Experienced and proficient in On-Screen Take-Off and Timberline estimating software is preferable but not mandatory assuming candidate has experience in similar applications. Proficient in MS Excel, FTP site, document distribution, storage and records management.
