Job Description

The role involves managing the planning, coordination, and execution of heavy civil projects including earthwork, utilities, site development, roadway, and bridge construction. The candidate will lead project scheduling, cost control, subcontractor management, and safety compliance. They will monitor project performance and ensure adherence to design, quality, and regulatory standards. The individual will prepare and review subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, and project documentation. They will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, engineers, and public agencies. They will identify and mitigate project risks and support resolution of field issues. The candidate will supervise project engineers, superintendents, and support staff.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. They will have 6+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, including leadership on site or infrastructure projects. The candidate will have a proven track record managing DOT, municipal, or large-scale site development projects. They will have strong knowledge of construction practices, scheduling, and financial reporting. The individual will have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. They will be proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, HCSS, Procore, or similar). A Professional Engineer PE license is a huge plus but not required.
