Program Goals & Objectives Delphi's Construction Management Training Program (CMTP), is structured to provide recent college graduates with an immersive and comprehensive training program. This 3-year program aims to equip them with the skills, knowledge, and expertise necessary to excel in essential construction industry disciplines. Within our program, a CMTP employee will gain an overall understanding of the different processes in both the field and the office. They will observe and participate in all aspects of construction management that are typically encountered in the construction workplace. Providing the right experience, early on in a career will allow CMTP members to integrate and utilize classroom gained knowledge and apply that knowledge to situations presented via the work experience.

Educational Background Requirements & Eligibility The CMTP is open to rising and recent graduates from a relevant field of education, (Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, etc.). The student must have a valid driver's license.
Work Attire & Environment Employees of the CMTP will be expected to dress professionally while working for Delphi. While in the office, appropriate business and business casual attire is worn. While in the field, employees are expected to wear jeans, shirts with sleeves, boots suitable for their construction site, and all safety site-specific required PPE.
Job Descriptions Employees in the CMTP will spend 1-year in each of Delphi's 3 core departments: Estimation & Pre-Construction, Project Management, and Field Operations.
Each year in the program is specifically designed to expose the employee to the multiple aspects of the construction process.
The CMTP employee will be assigned a dedicated mentor/coach throughout each year in their department rotation.
Typical job duties might include:
Estimating & Pre-Construction Specification analysis Takeoffs & plan reading Material and subcontractor quote analysis Bid Submission Attend meetings Subcontractor bid invitations
Project Management Project Document control Assist with procurement and subcontractor negotiations Assist with project scheduling Attend weekly OAC meetings and assist with meeting minutes Regular site visits to observe progress and challenges
Field Operations Subcontractor coordination Assist with monthly requisitions Plan and Spec review Participation in resolving project issues Project meeting attendance & documentation Observe & report on construction activities Material inventory
Additional Highlights of the CMTP President's Luncheon, quarterly CMTP roundtable; share and discuss experiences, and provide feedback and takeaways with Vice President of Construction Operations Business development and work acquisition workshops with Vice president of Project Development
