Our Client, one of Wisconsin's top general contractors, construction managers, and design-build firms, is seeking a Construction Project Manager for their Pewaukee, WI location. The Commercial Construction Project Manager will lead challenging and rewarding ground-up commercial construction projects , overseeing all aspects of construction, scheduling, reporting, and budgeting. This role involves managing multiple commercial projects with budgets exceeding $35 million and requires close collaboration with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and owners to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. This position is ideal for candidates with at least 5 years of project management experience in commercial general contracting or construction management , including direct involvement in projects for a self-performing company . Schedule: Monday-Friday, first shift hours. Key Responsibilities: Manage all phases of construction projects to ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Act as the primary point of contact for architects, engineers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Develop and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar software. Monitor budgets, track expenditures, and provide accurate financial forecasts. Prepare and distribute reports on project progress, financial status, and potential risks. Enforce quality control measures to maintain compliance with industry standards and project specifications. Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Lead and support project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Maintain strong client relationships by understanding project requirements and addressing concerns promptly. Ensure accurate and organized project documentation. Qualifications: 5+ years project management experience with a general contractor, design-builder, or construction manager. Experience managing budgets up to $30 million for commercial construction projects, including ground-up new construction. Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, subcontractors, and project teams. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field. Must have experience working on multi-story construction projects for a self-performing company. Proficient in MS Office, Microsoft Project, and Viewpoint.
