Commercial Construction Superintendent (In-town & Traveling)

We are currently searching for experienced commercial superintendents to work locally (around Central, Ohio) and to occasionally travel . We are looking for superintendents who have experience building ground up commercial construction projects such as gas stations, restaurants, banks, daycares and retail stores and/or are very experience doing tenant improvement work for high end retailers and restaurants.
The Superintendent will be responsible for the onsite coordination and management of all site construction activities while supervising field personnel to successfully complete the project on schedule, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations. This includes maintaining the highest quality, while administering good construction safety practices with all on-site activities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Become familiar with plans, specifications, site, local codes, local officials and inspection procedures
Set up field office, communications, temporary services and trash removal as required
Assist Project Manager in developing the project schedule
Schedule all subcontractors and deliveries as needed to meet the project schedule
Schedule and attend all required inspections
Complete and submit all paperwork as required
Establish and maintain benchmarks and reference points for ongoing layout of work
Work with owner, owner's rep, architect and subcontractors to resolve any conflicts that may arise and communicate any such conflicts immediately to Project Manager
Communicate, implement and enforce company safety policy as it pertains to assigned project
Attend job meetings and/or any other meetings that may be required for the successful and timely completion of the project
Attend walk through at job completion to ascertain punch list
Facilitate weekly safety meetings at jobsite
Execute punch list in a timely manner and obtain all necessary signed acknowledgments
Close out field office and project as necessary
Will need to obtain OSHA 30-hour certification
Attend all meetings and training as required
Travel to the home office as needed for training, meetings, etc.
Communicate proactively and often with all parties involved in the project
Other duties as assigned / needed
Work Experience / Requirements: Proven track record of dependability and reliability
Proven track record of meeting and exceeding deadlines
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Experience both in union and non-union environments
Experience and comfortable with technology and software programs related to the construction industry - experience with Procore is a plus.
Ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas: ground-up construction, renovations, retail chains, flagship or restaurants
Must be willing and able to travel anywhere in the country at any time.
OSHA 30-hour training preferred (we will pay for your OSHA 30 if you don't have it)
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Able to pass a background check and drug screen

Climb stairs and ladders
Work from high platforms while measuring equipment, laying out existing site conditions, and inspection in place work.
Employee will be required to work from elevated platforms without guarding while wearing appropriate PPE.
Employee will be required to lift and carry 75# while on the job site.
Able to walk and stand for long periods of time at times across uneven surfaces etc.
Bend and stoop as needed to carry out job functions
Able to use computer, phone and other related equipment in the performance of duties
Must maintain focus and concentration for long periods of time and be able to handle multiple demands and requests
