Join our dynamic team in San Antonio as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, where you will play a pivotal role in directing and coordinating construction projects. You will oversee all aspects of site operations, leading a talented team to achieve excellence in every project phase.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement and manage on-site logistical operations, including jobsite mobilization, signage, and security.
  2. Oversee material managementreceiving, staging, storing, and ensuring timely deliveries for enhanced productivity.
  3. Establish and maintain precise engineering controls.
  4. Lead subcontractor pre-installation and weekly coordination meetings.
  5. Manage the allocation of site utilization and lay down areas to subcontractors.
  6. Continuously assess and fulfill labor, material, and equipment requirements.
  7. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards, including environmental and pollution controls.
  8. Collaborate with the Project Manager for accurate and timely material and subcontractor coordination.
  9. Identify and address under-performing subcontractors or team members promptly.
  10. Oversee third-party inspections and manage inspections by the Owner and Design Teams.
  11. Ensure successful completion of all punch lists.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of four years' related experience or training.
  • Over 10 years of experience as a project superintendent in commercial public construction.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting legal documents and construction plans.
  • Expertise in creating and managing CPM schedules.
  • Capability to perform quantity take-offs and prepare precise manpower and material estimates.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods and practices.
  • Advanced skills in tracking trades for accurate reporting and billing.
  • Strong understanding of structural shop drawings and MEP systems coordination.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage subcontractors and their scopes of work effectively.
  • Strong conflict and crisis management capabilities.
  • Ability to lead and develop a diverse team successfully.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
