About the Role:
Asphalt Contractors, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and versatile Accounting & Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. This individual will provide day-to-day support for accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and collections, while also offering administrative assistance across various departments. This is a key support role designed for someone who enjoys variety in their work and thrives in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance Support (Primary Focus):

• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks

• Support collection efforts by following up on outstanding invoices

• Help with data entry, reconciliation, and organization of financial records

• Prepare and distribute customer invoices and statements as needed

Administrative & Cross-Departmental Support:

• Serve as a backup for answering phones and routing calls professionally

• Support aggregate pits and plants with data entry into the trucking/load ticket program

• Assist with compiling and tracking tickets, load logs, and related reporting

• Provide general administrative support to HR and other departments (filing, onboarding paperwork, scanning, etc.)

• Maintain organized digital and physical records

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in accounting support, administrative assistance, or a related role

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as needed

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Experience in construction or trucking industries is a plus but not required
