We are seeking a well rounded Construction Accounts Payable Specialistto play a key role within ourAccountingdepartment atMJ Daly, LLC!This role is responsible for maintaining the accounts payable functions under the direction of the Controller. Position is based in Waterbury, CT.

Essential Duties:

• Perform accounts payable functions under the direction of the Controller.
• Serve as liaison between the accounting division and project managers to ensure invoice integrity.
• Enter invoices into accounting software (Sage Paperless).
• Assist with other administrative and accounting duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field is preferred but not required.
• CT Sales Tax knowledge required
• 5+ years of experience in CT accounting and administration. Experience in construction accounting is highly desirable but not required.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Experience using Timberline project financial software or similar software.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
