Urban Standard Capital is looking for a Construction & Asset Management Associate to join our fast-paced, entrepreneurial real estate investment firm.
Title: Construction and Asset Management Associate Position Overview: Provide construction loan administration & asset management services.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll:
Oversee residential and commercial projects from start to finish Manage budgets, schedules, and vendors with precision Collaborate with developers, architects, and internal teams to deliver exceptional results

Qualifications Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction or construction management. Additional relevant experience in real estate industry including development, asset or loan management may be considered Bachelor’s degree Exceptional communication and organizational skills Comprehensive knowledge of AIA forms, construction contracts/forms, and municipal documentation/submission Adeptness working with Microsoft Excel, Dropbox, construction management software (such as ProCore, Trustpoint, and digital communication tools Willingness to work in Manhattan office and visit construction or development sites as needed
Duties and Responsibilities Construction Loan Servicing Work with firm to optimize policies and procedures for the onboarding and administration of construction loans to exceed industry standards and meet distinct needs of the firm Onboard construction loans into tracking and data retention systems and perform technical construction due diligence Receive and review draw/funding requests, including assessment of construction issues impacting budget and/or schedule, as well as tracking procurement, insurance, buyout and sign-off milestones Oversee coordination of third-party consultants in providing expert review throughout the administration of loans Work closely with the Origination/Underwriting Team (though this is not an origination/underwriting position) and Accounting Team
Construction Project Management Work closely with Asset Management Team to address construction and compliance issues with assets within our rental portfolio Assist in resolution of construction concerns with financed projects for which direct involvement with ownership, consultants, and contractors is required Assist in managing all aspects of development process of projects within our equity portfolio
