About the Role:
The Construction Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of construction projects at Pepper Pike Capital Partners. This position is responsible for managing the full accounts payable cycle, focusing on accurate and timely invoice processing, vendor management, and maintaining precise financial records. Ultimately, the Construction AP Specialist will contribute to the overall success of the organization by maintaining accurate AP records which is essential for managing cash flow and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, preferred but not required or related AP job experience – 2 years.
- Proficiency in Foundation Software preferred by not required.
- Experience with cost reporting and project cost accounting in the construction industry.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel

Responsibilities:
- Manage invoicing email inbox, verifying invoices, match invoices to purchase orders, & processing invoices in the accounting system.
- Immediately address any discrepancies found during the verification process.
- Assist in month end close.
- Maintain vendor relationships and reconciling vendor statements to the account payable ledger.
- Processing of employee expense reports.
- Aid Project Accountants in tracking down waivers from vendors and subcontractors.
- Maintains subcontractor and vendor W-9 and insurance paperwork.
- Create and maintain ownership of trackers in Smartsheet to track things like rented equipment locations, contractor insurance, submission deadlines.
