Our GC client is a top ranked, commercial interiors firm that specializes in Corporate Workplace (Class A), Healthcare (hospital, lab, sterile environments, etc.) and Higher Education renovation projects. They have been in business over 40 years and have a proven track record for success.

Job Description

Responsible for all phases of the construction project including coordinating subcontractors, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are strictly followed and work proceeds on schedule and within budget. Responsible for scheduling, inspections, quality control and job site safety. Schedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure a timely project completion. Communicate with project team regarding material submittals. Confirm that subcontractors are fully executing and complying with contracted scope. Identify subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards. Advise project team of conflicts in construction progress. Ensure the jobsite is kept in a clean and organized manner. Perform job progress schedule (two week look ahead) through project completion. Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite. Demonstrate group presentation skills. Identify work areas that are outside of subcontracted scope. Opening and closing of jobsite each day. Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions. Preside a preconstruction meeting and weekly subcontractor coordination meetings with subcontractors. Other duties as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

Minimum 5 years' of verifiable construction experience through knowledge of trades. Computer knowledge (Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Outlook). Ability to read and interpret documents such as construction drawings, submittals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals. Procore and CMiC experience is preferred but not required. Experience delivering Corporate Workplace, Healthcare (hospital, lab, sterile environments, etc.) or Higher Education projects.
