Legacy Builders has an immediate opening for Construction Assistant Superintendent in Oakley and Pittsburg.

*Construction Superintendent*

*Summary of Position:*

Working in conjunction with the General Superintendent, the Construction Assistant Superintendent is responsible for all on-site house construction ensuring the quality and timely delivery of the company product.

*Essential Functions:* * Oversee and manage all field on-site construction. * Management of the Assistant Superintendent, Prep Walk Thrus and Laborers * Coordinate with consultants. * Scheduling and supervision of subcontractors. * Build homes from foundation start to City final. * Meet construction schedules. * Responsible for updating construction schedules. * Schedule inspections and walk houses with inspector. * Quality Control, Problem solving. * Implementation of corporate policy and procedures. * Manage subdivision SWPPP requirements. * Reviews, critiques and disburses all weekly paperwork. * Complete tract acceptance turn over to all local jurisdictions. * Assists and supports all safety requirements. * Attends safety and OSHA classes as required by Safety Officer.

*Required Education/Experience:*

To be eligible to perform this job, an individual must possess the following: * High School Diploma * 5 years minimum experience in construction. * Ability to read and understand architectural and structural blueprints. * Ability to read and understand all off site improvement plans. * Ability to analyze problems and develop realistic and timely solutions factoring in risk, implications and cost. * Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project, Outlook). * Must be active on the jobsite to interact with subcontractors and validate work in progress. * Strong organizational skills including maintaining an organized job site and construction trailer. * Strong writing and effective listening skills. * Professional interpersonal skills to work with diverse personalities. * Strong management/leadership skills. * Certified in CPR and First Aid a plus. * Must comply with the provisions of our Auto/Fleet Safety Program with a current and valid California Driver’s License.

*Physical Demands:* * This job requires sitting, standing, walking, reaching with arms and hands, and occasional climbing, carrying, balancing, etc. * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
