Construction Bookkeeper

Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely entries
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a daily and monthly basis
- Record and post journal entries and financial adjustments as needed
- Maintain general ledger accounts and ensure financial data integrity
- Contribute to the successful completion of month-end and year-end closing tasks
- Ensure all accounting records are accurate, complete, and compliant with GAAP standards
- Partner with project managers to monitor job costs, billing activities, and profitability tracking
- Keep thorough documentation of all financial transactions for internal records and audits
- Prepare for audits by organizing and providing supporting documentation when requested
- Use Sage Intacct extensively for all accounting functions and report generation
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience, preferably in a construction setting
- Sage Intacct experience is mandatory
- Solid understanding of AP/AR, account reconciliations, and journal entries
- Familiarity with construction job costing is highly preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems
- Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
