  • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, including Work-in-Progress reporting
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, month-end close)
  • Partner with the external CPA and leadership on mid-year and year-end tax preparation and audits

Construction Accounting Management

  • Oversee and support trade partner / vendor invoicing, retainage, and lien waiver processes
  • Support accurate and timely client billings (AIA, progress billing)
  • Ensure job cost integrity and budget alignment with Project Managers
  • Implement consistent monthly project projection and budget reconciliation practices

Strategic Partnering

  • Provide financial insights to guide operational and strategic decision-making
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with PMs and leadership to improve profitability and cash flow
  • Proactively identify risk areas and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and maintain financial dashboards and performance metrics (KPIs and OKRs) to provide clear, actionable insights for leadership and project teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience (construction industry strongly preferred)
  • Experience implementing or improving accounting systems, processes, and team performance
  • Strong working knowledge of construction accounting principles (job costing, WIP, AIA billing)
  • Systems experience with Deltek ComputerEase (preferred), QuickBooks, or similar ERP
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills
  • A process builder and mentor - not just a task executor
  • Values-aligned: committed to integrity, excellence, and collaboration
