Our busy company is seeking an experienced construction estimator to join our team of construction professionals. We need someone with strong math skills and excellent communication skills to write proposals, cost estimates, and detailed takeoffs on our construction projects. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in estimating or project management. $75,000 - $85,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Frequent construction sites to gather necessary client requirement information
  • Revisit previously submitted proposal and budgets with clients
  • Furnish accurate and clear quantity takeoff information to provide a detailed list of materials and assess the total construction costs
  • Interface with the construction project manager to oversee and coordinate the bid process for vendors and subcontractors
  • Create estimates, budgets, written proposals, costs, and updates for clients and project managers
  • Place orders and create purchase orders for project materials
  • Collaborate with project managers and trades throughout the construction process
  • Participate in client consultations and proposal presentations
Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and construction estimating software
  • Comprehension of research methodology, accounting, data and risk analysis, and estimation metrics is crucial
  • Stellar communication, project management, and time-management skills are crucial
  • Possess a Bachelors’ degree in civil engineering, construction management, accounting, or related field
  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification from the American Society of Professional Estimators (ASPE) is preferred
  • Proficiency with estimating software (Buildertrend and Chief Architect experience a plus)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills for client and team interactions
