Job Description

Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Support Engineer (CSE) to join our prestigious technology client's rapidly growing Data Center Operations team. This role offers a unique opportunity to support Facility Operations teams and contribute to the future of global data center development.

As a CSE, you'll collaborate with global construction teams and internal departments, including Site Development, Energy, Design, and Construction Execution, managing both Opex and Capex budgets. You'll ensure compliance with the client's operational processes and procedures while driving effective communication and coordination across teams.

This position requires a high level of independence, strong collaboration skills, and proficiency in both Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications. The CSE team partners closely with the client's Business Operations to lead end-to-end contracting and change management processes.

* Experience with SAP Ariba is required. Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and vendors within the client's Technical Operations organization.
  • Communicate effectively with Technical Operations partners, ensuring clarity and alignment across all activities.
  • Ensure adherence to the client's established operational processes and procedures, applying best practices as a Turner & Townsend partner.
  • Coordinate timely execution of tasks with business partners to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage the full contract lifecycle, including:
    • Drafting change management contract templates
    • Reviewing contracts for accuracy and compliance
    • Routing contracts via DocuSign in line with the client's Approval Authority Matrix
    • Preparing workflows in the client's contracting system
    • Auditing and updating contract trackers to ensure progress
  • Collaborate with Contracts and Legal teams to ensure documentation meets compliance standards.
  • Facilitate change order reviews and routing within project management tools, including content analysis and executive approvals.
  • Interpret and apply Schedule of Values and project schedules in relation to contract changes.
  • Monitor supplier compliance with agreements and report any non-conformance.
  • Contribute to program initiatives, training, and process alignment efforts led by the CSE team.
  • Independently manage general administrative duties related to the role.
  • SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.

Qualifications

Construction experience is required, preferably within data center, mission critical or related sectors.

Background in Contracting, Finance, or Accounting.

Experience with SAP Ariba is required.

Demonstrated experience consulting with both internal and external business stakeholders.

Strong self-management skills, including the ability to independently organize daily tasks and maintain accurate tracking logs.

Excellent organizational abilities with sharp attention to detail and consistent, timely follow-up.

Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships across all levels of an organization.

Confident and experienced in drafting, reviewing, and executing contract documents.

Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.

Skilled at navigating visible workflows and clearly communicating goals and expectations to stakeholders at all levels.

Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage high volumes of work using available tools and systems.

Proficiency in key platforms and tools, including:

  • Unifier, Procore, Oracle, SharePoint
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Adobe Acrobat

Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and drive change across end-to-end workflows.
