Skyrocket Education Services is seeking a Career and Technical Education Construction Teacher to take those skills to a High School Center classroom.
The CTE Teacher is our most important resource. Their duties are to ensure that a student receives quality instruction, makes educational progress, and reaches their academic goals. This position is primarily responsible for delivering our educational program to ensure data driven, results based instruction for students in the implementation of the CTE program.
Requirements: Must have valid Contractors license. Instructor experience is a plus.
Location: School site location is at Options For Youth HS Charter School location in Carmichael, CA.
CTE Credentials must be obtained if you are interested and serious about getting your credential. Skyrocket will help you with the application process too!
This role is 6-10 hours a week of tasks and training INCLUDING classroom instruction (2 days a week - 2 hours per day)

Salary: $25 - $40 hourly pay rate - Depending on experieince and credential status.
*$40 hourly pay rate - Once your Preliminary CTC CTE credential is completed and cleared.
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to the following:*
Facilitates and instructs CTE Construction courses.
Recruits prospective students and promotes the CTC program to learning centers.
Supports and coordinates partnerships with area colleges/universities and trade unions to ensure student access to post-secondary credits.
Creates relationships with local businesses and contractors for apprenticeship and entry level employment.
Researches and develops program curriculum, materials and schedules.
Creates lesson plans and activities for expected learning outcomes.
Evaluates student progress based on State Standards, learning objectives and projected outcomes.
Tracks student attendance and grades.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Strong construction industry knowledge.
Knowledge of general learning theories and curriculum development.
Ability to instruct and delegate responsibilities to students.
Ability to work independently and within a team, to work efficiently, exercising reasonable judgment, in a fast-paced, multi-task environment with minimal guidance and/or supervision.
Ability to work effectively under pressure, demonstrate problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, while maintaining diplomacy, courtesy, professionalism and a customer service attitude.
Ability to change direction as priorities shift and thrive in environments that require the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal relationship, verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel as needed.
Education and Experience: Minimum preliminary CTE credential in Construction or appropriate industry OR ability and willingness to obtain one.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Prior teaching/mentoring experience preferred.
Licensed contractor preferred.
Teaching experience preferred.
INTERN teacher without prelim credential must meet all other requirements and be committed to obtaining credential.
