Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction engineering, project management, and fieldwork. The intern will assist in a variety of tasks related to the planning, execution, and documentation of construction projects, working closely with experienced engineers and project managers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the inspection and monitoring of construction activities to ensure compliance with design plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Support engineers in preparing project documentation, including daily reports, logs, and schedules.
Perform data collection and analysis for various construction-related tasks, including quantity calculations and cost tracking.
Communicate effectively with contractors, clients, and team members to address project requirements and issues.
Observe and document work progress to identify any deviations or potential concerns.
Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, plans, and presentations.

Requirements

Education:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.

Skills and Qualifications:

Basic understanding of construction principles, techniques, and materials.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for field assignments (if applicable).

Physical Requirements:

Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Capacity to stand, walk, and move around construction sites for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous internship or coursework in construction engineering or a related field.
Knowledge of construction safety protocols and practices.

Salary Description

$20 - $30/hr
