Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects by accurately estimating costs, preparing bids, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget. This position requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with project managers and contractors. Duties Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and other documentation. Collaborate with project management teams to develop comprehensive project budgets. Utilize construction estimating software Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather necessary information for pricing. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms. Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budget constraints. Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and contracts for future reference. Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members regarding project scope and changes. Experience Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential. Strong knowledge of construction management principles and practices. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies. Proficiency in using estimating software Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with subcontractors and suppliers. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates. Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment. Must have knowledge of all types of heavy equipment such as Excavators, Bobcats with attachments (skid steer, sweeper, grinders, compaction wheels, etc) Strong knowledge of Demolition construction is recommended.
