A progressive, commercial general contractor is looking for an estimator. The company focuses on high-end, technical projects in commercial, multifamily, etc.

About Our Client

As the lead estimator, you will drive the pre-construction estimation process across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects. Reporting to senior leadership, you'll manage take-offs, subcontractor proposals, and lead value-engineering strategies to optimize both cost and schedule.

Job Description

Lead comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment on commercial builds. Conduct take-offs and analyze project documents-blueprints, specs, etc.-for accuracy and completeness. Oversee bid management, including solicitation, review, and consolidation of subcontractor quotes. Collaborate with architects, engineers, project managers, and purchasing teams. Implement value-engineering initiatives to enhance cost-efficiency. Identify and quantify financial risks, recommending mitigation plans. Deliver clear, detailed cost reports and bid presentations to internal and client stakeholders.

The Successful Applicant

Experience: 7-10+ years estimating commercial construction projects in South Florida-office, retail, mixed-use; experience with K-12, healthcare, or multifamily is a bonus

Education: Degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field preferred-or equivalent experience.

Technical Skills: Strong grasp of estimating software, quantity take-offs, cost databases.

Soft Skills: Excellent communicator, collaborative mindset, strong analytical and detail-orientation.

Attributes: Self-driven, strategic thinker, client-focused, and adept at managing multiple estimates simultaneously.
