At Burke Construction Group, we pride ourselves on continuous evolution. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This role is critical in helping the company win bids and manage project budgets effectively.
Daily Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Prepare and submit comprehensive bid packages in response to RFPs and project solicitations. Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project. Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops. Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hours and related cost data or to effect cost reduction. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors. Coordinate with Operations to review and create constructability reviews. Lead pre-construction design meetings. Provide constructive feedback to design team in order to maintain budgets. Provide pre-construction review for plans, specifications and drawings.

Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ConstructConnect, OST, Building Connected or similar). Excellent analytical and mathematical skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
Education and Experience Bachelors degree in Construction Management (required). Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years in a dedicated estimating role.
