Construction Field Representative Our client is a well-established architecture and planning firm seeking two Construction Field Representatives due to growth and backfill needs. This role will be split 50% in the office and 50% onsite/in the field, making it ideal for candidates with Type V construction experience and a strong understanding of building codes. Job Description The Construction Field Representative will oversee contract administration, quality assurance, and project close-out activities. Acting as the client's agent during the construction phase, this role ensures projects meet regulatory compliance, quality standards, and contractual obligations. The ideal candidate must be comfortable transitioning from construction to a full-time architecture-focused role. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison between clients, contractors, and project teams Conduct field observations and generate reports on progress, compliance, and quality Provide constructability expertise to internal teams Lead pre-construction and construction meetings with clients and contractors Interpret and enforce the Fair Housing Act, Building Codes, Accessibility Requirements (ADA), and other regulations Coordinate with project teams to resolve construction challenges Ensure timely project completion and financial accountability Conduct QA/QC reviews of design and construction documents Train and mentor staff through a Construction Shadow Program Protect the firm and client's interests throughout the construction phase Qualifications 10+ years of multifamily wood-frame design experience OR 12+ years of wood-frame construction experience Type V construction experience with a strong understanding of building codes Ability to lift 40 lbs and navigate stairs/ladders on construction sites Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Construction Management OR equivalent experience Strong knowledge of contract administration, construction methods, and materials Experience leading meetings and making decisive construction-related decisions Perks Medical, Dental, Vision 80% employer-paid (including family coverage) 401k Profit Sharing Plan Long-Term Life Insurance PTO Based on Experience: After 90 days: 40 hours After 6 months: Additional 40 hours After 1 year: 120 hours After 3 years: 160 hours
