Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis<BR>Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning activities.
Analyze budget variances and operational performance; report key findings with clear recommendations.
Review daily and weekly operations data, including sales, productivity, labor hours, material usage, and job margins.
Identify gaps or overruns in project costs and support operational managers in course correction.
Support fixed asset tracking and capital expenditure planning.
Wants/must-haves:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
Direct experience in construction, paving, concrete, or other project based industries
Proven month end close experience and financial reporting background
Strong job cost accounting and budget variance analysis skills
Experience collaborating with operations/project managers on cost control
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar)
Software: Sage, Viewpoint, or similar construction accounting software, Advanced Microsoft Excel (Pivots, VLOOKUPS, SUMIFS)
Nice to Haves:
CPA or CMA designation
Experience implementing or improving accounting systems and processes
Knowledge of AIA billing, lien waivers, and multi project cost tracking
