Construction Inspector

A great opportunity for a Senior Construction Inspector in a growing Michigan firm for their Novi office!
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily inspection/documentation of MDOT construction and/or demolition projects
- Verify conformance with construction plans and other construction documents
- Generate daily reports
- Oversee maintaining traffic operations/traffic control devices
- Monitor soil erosion/sedimentation control devices
- Supervise staff (assign tasks/review completed work)
- Assist project manager with duties related to bridge and road projects
- Use technical expertise to identify/resolve issues
- Mentor/train junior inspection staff
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with road and/or bridge locally or federally funded projects
- Supervisory experience
- Experience with MDOT documentation requirements
- Completion of various MDOT constructions and/or materials testing training/certification preferred
- Familiar with all aspects of road and bridge construction
Salary is commensurate with experience.
