You Are: A Construction Management Professional who is enthusiastic, self-motivated, and driven. We are looking to add exceptional employees to our Construction Management Department.
You Will: Perform construction inspection as assigned Measure, calculate, and record construction quantities for payment Maintain project records and documentation as required for project Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, standards and details Collect data and analyze data for errors Monitor street and utility projects for compliance to traffic, survey or construction activities Oversee quality assurance and successful completion of projects by following set timelines Monitor and record job progress details to ensure that all assigned work to contractors is performed in a timely manner Inspect and assess the quality of materials being used for construction projects Calculation of quantities of material, supplies and equipment needed for projects Perform other duties as required by Resident Engineer or Department Manager Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. You Have: Valid State Issued Driver's License is required B.S. in Engineering related field is preferred IDOT Documentation Certification is preferred 0-3 years’ experience in construction engineering/inspection industry CADD experience is preferred Experience with Microsoft Office and engineering related software Good oral and written communication skills and ability to write technical reports Ability to effectively present recommendations
