General Kinematics Corporation is currently looking for a qualified Construction Inventory Coordinator to join our site team in Wabash, IN. The Construction Inventory Coordinator will be highly organized and play a critical role in effectively coordinating the flow of materials and supplies on a construction site. Their primary objective is to ensure that all required construction materials are efficiently managed and tracked, minimizing delays and disruptions in the production or construction process. The Construction Inventory Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining efficiency and productivity, as well as keeping costs under control. This is a contract position for 3 years with the possibility of permanent hire upon completion of the project in 2026.

Responsibilities / Duties

· Collaborate with the primary project manager to understand inventory requirements and timelines.

· Develop and maintain inventory tracking systems to monitor the movement of materials and equipment on-site.

· Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials according to project schedules.

· Conduct regular inventory audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.

· Maintain organized storage areas and implement best practices for inventory management.

· Generate reports on inventory levels, usage, and trends as required by project stakeholders.

· Work closely with the project team to anticipate and address any inventory-related challenges or issues.

· Assist in the procurement process by sourcing materials and obtaining competitive quotes when necessary.

· Provide support to subcontractors and construction teams regarding inventory-related inquiries or requests.

· Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while handling and storing inventory items.

Requirements:

Job Requirements:

· High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or a related field is preferred.

· Proven experience in materials coordination, inventory management, or related roles.

· Strong knowledge of materials management principles, including procurement, storage, distribution, and inventory control.

· Proficient in using inventory management software and tools.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

· Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

· Familiarity with relevant industry regulations and compliance standards.

Pay: $40,000 to $60,000 paid annually. The range provided is a guideline and not a guarantee of compensation. Other factors that are involved in offer decisions include, and are not limited to a candidate’s experience, qualifications, geography, and internal equity.
