Construction Laborer with Concrete Experience

- The construction laborer position is responsible for the following:
- Building and installing structures and frameworks including walls, floors, and door frames
- Inspecting and replacing damaged framework, structures, and fixtures
- Performing basic duties associated with carpentry and masonry
- assisting with various tasks related to concrete work, including forming, pouring, and finishing.
- Previous experience in concrete work or related field preferred - Knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, and finishing techniques
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Build and repair structures associated with residential and commercial construction/remodeling
- Set up equipment to be used at work sites
- Shape or cut materials to specified measurements
- Grind, sand, and polish surfaces such as concrete or wood
- Install and finish dry wall and flooring surfaces
- Unload materials such as lumber, tools, and other equipment used at work sites
- Must possess one's own carpentry tools
- Assist with the preparation of concrete surfaces for pouring, including cleaning and leveling
- Pour and spread concrete using various tools and equipment
- Assist with the installation of reinforcing materials such as rebar or wire mesh
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in concrete work
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED
- Relevant experience with carpentry, masonry, and electrical is required
- Familiarity with residential and commercial construction practices
- Valid driver's license
- Employment is conditional on verification of clean driving record, background check(s), and pre-employment/random drug testing

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work:
- This is a full-time position and regular work hours are Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.in addition to weekends on an as-needed basis with the ability to work outside of or in addition to those hours as needed.
Travel:
- Must be willing to travel. Travel expectation outside of the local area can vary.
