A law firm seeks an accomplished Construction Law Attorney with 21 years of experience in Long Island, NY. This role involves advising on complex construction disputes, managing litigation, and guiding transactional matters across all project phases. Duties Counsel clients on construction contracts, surety claims, and indemnity issues Lead litigation in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration and mediation forums Draft and negotiate design-build, EPC, subcontractor, and supply agreements Conduct risk assessments and due diligence for construction-related transactions Manage pre-litigation dispute resolution, including claims preparation and presentation Coordinate with project teams, including architects, engineers, and consultants Supervise associates and paralegals, ensuring quality control and adherence to deadlines Requirements 21 years of construction law practice experience Admission to the New York State Bar, in good standing Proven track record in handling high-value construction claims and transactional matters Familiarity with AIA, ConsensusDOCS, and other standard industry forms Strong client relationship management and business development capabilities Ability to juggle multiple matters under tight timelines Education Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school Certifications Licensed to practice law in New York State (Preferred) Certification in Construction Law or Dispute Resolution Skills Advanced legal research and analytical proficiency Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy abilities Strategic thinking with a focus on risk mitigation Leadership and team-building aptitude Proficiency with e-discovery platforms and legal research databases Competitive salary and performance bonus structure Comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans 401(k) retirement plan with matching contributions Paid time off and flexible work arrangements Continuing legal education allowance and bar dues reimbursement Company info BCG Attorney Search
