Position: Construction, Maintenance, Building Facilitator Program Chair
Remington College is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Construction, Maintenance, Building Program Chair. Job Summary:
The Construction, Maintenance, Building Program Chair will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of the Construction, Maintenance, Building program at Remington College. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that the program meets industry standards and prepares students for successful careers in the construction and building field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive curriculum for the Construction, Maintenance, Building program that meets industry standards and prepares students for entry-level positions in the field.
- Recruit, train, and supervise faculty members to ensure they are providing high-quality instruction and support to students.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing guidance and support as needed to ensure their success in the program.
- Stay informed about industry developments and trends, and incorporate this knowledge into the program curriculum.
- Collaborate with industry partners to develop relationships and opportunities for students, such as internships and job placements.
- Manage program budgets and resources effectively to ensure the program's success.
- Ensure compliance with all accreditation and regulatory requirements related to the Construction, Maintenance, Building program.
- Participate in faculty and staff meetings, and serve on committees as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction and building industry, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
- Previous teaching experience, preferably in a post-secondary education setting.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and industry partners.
- Knowledge of accreditation and regulatory requirements related to construction and building programs.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
