This firm has been in business for 60 years and is modernizing the way they do things. Focused on affordable housing renovation & new construction in the NY-area, this firm has a large backlog of work for years to come. With a solid platform and lots of capital to back things up, this company is streamlining their construction business. Whereas, previously, they had a mixture of GC and CM jobs, moving forward, CM is the way. There is a need for a Construction Project Manager to join the Design & Construction team.
-Your new role-
As a Construction Manager with this group, your role is to oversee the occupied renovation of various properties throughout the portfolio. While you will commute to site, there is no "travel" involved. On every project, there will be a solid CM performing the construction, so you will be a true Owner's PM. The special part about this company is the exposure to the financial side of things. This role is for those of you who want to know more about the real estate process, not just getting something built and moving on.
-What you'll need to succeed-
- 5+ years in construction project management, preferably in NYC
- Experience working for a General Contractor or Owner that self-performs its construction
- Affordable housing experience is ideal, but not required.
- Curiosity about the development side
- Passion for the end user!
