Position Overview
We are actively seeking a skilled and dedicated Construction Manager - Electrical for a Minnesota-based construction company specializing in building communication and power solutions. As a licensed electrical and general contractor, we is renowned for delivering NextGen wireless communication, energy, and vehicle charging infrastructures across multiple Midwestern states.
Responsibilities
Construction Management: Plan, coordinate, and manage project construction from start to finish, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Assist the Project Manager with the creation of critical path schedules for new sites.
Maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures to ensure timely completion in coordination with other construction managers when required.
Ensure project resources such as materials, tools, and equipment are scheduled and delivered per the project plan.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
Coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders, including other construction managers, project managers, customers, and subcontractors.
Team Leadership and Coordination: Supervise and lead crews and subcontractors, ensuring efficient utilization of resources and adherence to project goals and ratios.
Assign tasks, provide technical guidance, and resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise.
Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork among team members.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members to support their professional development.
Manage, review and approve daily time and reporting from assigned Foreman and Subcontractors.
Create and monitor two-week look ahead and daily schedules for assigned crew types.
Quality Control and Safety: Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and compliance with project requirements.
Conduct regular inspections to identify and rectify any defects, deviations, or non-compliance issues.
Promote and enforce strict adherence to safety protocols, training, and regulations, creating a safe work environment for all personnel on-site.
Electrical System Design and Implementation: Review electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Coordinate the procurement of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with project requirements and budget constraints.
Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems, verifying compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
MN Electrical Journeyworker or other state electrical license is required.
3 - 5 years related experience as a Foreman or Construction Manager in one of the following specialties: Electrical and Solar.
Strong understanding of safety processes, OSHA requirements, and work done on construction sites for Civil, Mechanical, Telecommunications, or Electrical specialties.
Possess or can obtain certifications/licenses in OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, RF Awareness, Blood Borne Pathogens, DOT Health Card (Company provides training to assist in obtaining/renewing required certifications).
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, crews, job sites, and customers.
Proven ability to focus on daily construction processes as well as look ahead to anticipate and plan for upcoming work.
Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and SOW.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to learn and use comppany-provided software.
Proficient with Microsoft Office products/construction management software.
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, analytical, and attention to detail skills.
This job requires travel 80% of the time.
Possess a valid driver's license and ability to maintain a clean driving record.

Additional Details
Pay range: $120,000 - $130,000 annually
Schedule: Full-time
Location: On-site with travel to remote locations in the midwest (80%)
